My Bedroom: A Reflection of Who I Am
My bedroom is more than just a room with a bed and a desk surrounded by four walls. It is a place that has slowly become a reflection of who I am. Every decoration, photo and little object has a special story behind it, even if no one else knows what that story is.
When I come home from school in the afternoon, with the golden sunlight beaming through my blinds, my room feels like a quiet escape for the rest of the day.
I immediately notice how familiar everything feels. My desk sits in the corner covered in things that I have collected over time. Some of these things are objects I use every day or stuff that I adore, while others sit there collecting dust with no real purpose at all, but I keep them anyway because they remind me of a person, a memory, or an important time in my life.
Looking around in my room, I realise that it has changed as I have grown. Things I once loved are tucked underneath my bed, replaced with new interests or hobbies I now enjoy. But some objects have stayed because they are connected to precious memories that I wish to keep with me forever. My bedroom may seem like an ordinary room, just like anyone else’s, but to me, every small part, corner, or item means something.
As I spend time in my room, I begin to notice the little details that feel so special to me. The photos, the decorations on my wall and the familiar scent of my blankets all bring a sense of comfort I can’t find anywhere else. Sometimes, I find myself sitting on my bed, looking around and remembering moments I had almost forgotten, from laughing with my friends to enjoying hobbies that once filled my day. No matter how much I grow and how much my room changes over time, my room will always be a place where I can relax and feel completely myself.
